Vic accused killers gave love, court told

May 15, 2018

The accused killers of Melbourne mother Samantha Kelly posed as the parents of her children.

A Victorian woman accused of arranging to murder a mother-of-four to take custody of her children has been described as a loving mother figure by a teenager in state care.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, spoke to police in a video interview played during the trial of Christine and Ronald Lyons, who are accused along with Peter Arthur of murdering Samantha Kelly in Bendigo two years ago.

On Tuesday, the Victorian Supreme Court heard the accused killers took the girl in and gave her "love" as well as a "roof and a bed ... everything I ever wished for".
