WA hit-and-run driver jailed for two years

A WA driver will spend at least 15 months in jail for a crash that injured scooter rider Mike Burns.

A hit-and-run driver in Perth who left a 65-year-old scooter rider to die has been jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Mother-of-four Danielle Marie Quinlan, 37, did not have a driver's licence when she drove an unregistered vehicle and crashed into Mike Burns in Spearwood in March 2016.

Quinlan was sentenced in the WA District Court on Monday and must serve at least 15 months behind bars before she can be eligible for parole.
