The Gambia poised to rejoin Comm Games

The Gambia is set to be approved to compete in next month's Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

Next month's Commonwealth Games are expected to feature an extra nation with The Gambia likely to be re-admitted to the Commonwealth Games Federation.

The federation has recommended leaders from across the Commonwealth approve the reintroduction of the African nation at its general assembly on the Gold Coast on March 31.

If granted the approval means The Gambia's team of six athletes will compete at the Gold Coast Games, taking the number of competing nations and territories to 71.
