Accused lawyer killer remains in custody

February 14, 2018

The man accused of murdering Sydney lawyer Ho Ledinh has been remanded in custody (file).

A man charged with the daylight execution of lawyer Ho Ledinh at a southwest Sydney cafe three weeks ago will remain behind bars until at least April.

Arthur Kelekolio was arrested by NSW Police at Sydney airport as he was boarding a plane to Bali on Tuesday morning.

He was later charged with murder.

Detectives also searched a unit in Hammondville, in Sydney's southwest, seizing a number of items.

The 38-year-old wasn't required to appear at Central Local Court on Wednesday.

His lawyer, Adam Houda, didn't apply for bail for his client and it was formally refused.

The matter was adjourned to April 11.

Mr Ledinh, 65, was shot three times through the back at point-blank range outside Happy Cup cafe at Bankstown City Plaza on January 23 in front of horrified witnesses.
