Cheryl Taylor has briefly faced court accused of driving drunk down a popular Brisbane boardwalk.

A woman who allegedly drove drunk down a popular Brisbane boardwalk has faced court briefly.

Cheryl Taylor had allegedly driven her unregistered vehicle 80km from Atkinsons Dam to Brisbane in January while unlicensed before driving onto the timber walkway at South Bank, which is popular with walkers and cyclists.

The 40-year-old, who has been charged with high-range drink driving, driving without a licence and driving an unregistered vehicle, is due back at Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 6.
