February 12, 2018

Workers at the Griffin Coal mine are keen to get back on the job.

Workers at a WA coal mine are keen to get back on the job with the state's longest-running coal industry dispute looking set to end this week.

About 30 Australian Manufacturing Worker's Union members from the Griffin Coal mine in Collie gathered in front of the Fair Work Commission offices in Perth on Monday, anxiously waiting for it to make a decision which would allow them back to work after more than six months off the job.

Workers voted to accept a new enterprise agreement with Griffin on Friday after 180 days of action following the cancellation of their original contract in August 2016.
