Langbroek in race for LNP leadership

December 08, 2017

John-Paul Langbroek will run for the Queensland LNP leadership after the exit of Tim Nicholls.

Former Liberal National Party leader John-Paul Langbroek has announced he will run against current deputy Deb Frecklington for the party's top job.

In a tweet following the announcement of the departure of leader Tim Nicholls on Friday, Mr Langbroek said he had the measured resolve to take on the new Labor government.

"I'm nominating to lead @LNPQLD because our party needs someone who knows the rigours of leadership, and with the experience to rebuild the trust with all Queenslanders. I have the measured resolve to take on Labor," the tweet said.
