A new Tas poll ties Labor and the Liberals nine months after Rebecca White was elected Labor leader.

Tasmanian Labor has gotten a political boost from a new poll showing the opposition has drawn level with the Liberal government, months out from the state election.

The parties are sitting on voter support of 34 per cent each, according to the poll published in The Mercury on Thursday.

As well, Liberal Premier Will Hodgman has lost out on the preferred leader stakes with the poll of 1000 voters putting opposition leader Rebecca White on 48 per cent, against 35 per cent for her counterpart.
