Former minister hits out at foreign laws

Former federal minister Andrew Robb took up a job with a Chinese firm after leaving parliament.

A former Turnbull government minister has hit out at his colleagues for painting him as treasonous as it eyes foreign interference laws.

Andrew Robb, who took up a job with Chinese firm Landbridge Group after leaving parliament, might have to sign up to a register under the crackdown.

"The attempts to trash my reputation in some quarters - now being aided and abetted by the government - are ill-informed and cheap politics," Mr Robb told Fairfax Media on Wednesday.
