Shock acquittal in Brisbane murder trial

October 13, 2017

Paul Stewart says the acquittal over his son Aaron's killing is "absolute crap".

A Norwegian man has been found not guilty of killing "the love of his life" with a kitchen knife at their Queensland home.

Thomas Lysgaard pleaded not guilty on the first day of his trial in the Brisbane Supreme to murdering Aaron Joseph Stewart on April 4, 2015.

After deliberating for a day a jury acquitted 39-year-old Lysgaard of murder and also the lesser charge of manslaughter.
