Sharron Phillips' killer's son a 'coward'

October 11, 2017

Sharron Phillips was 20 when she vanished on May 8, 1986, in Brisbane.

The sister of murdered Queensland woman Sharron Phillips has lashed out at the son of her believed killer over the time it took him to contact police.

Merlesa Phillips told ABC Radio on Wednesday she believed Raymond Peter Mulvihill was responsible for the death of her 20-year-old sister in 1986, but said his son Ian was a "coward".

Ms Phillips said revelations by police last week that her father Bob was not involved in the murder was a relief, but her older siblings' decision to wait until he died to accuse him of a crime was "pretty low".
