Shipbuilding jobs bonanza predicted for SA

Naval shipbuilding in SA will inject more than $130 billion into the state's economy.

Future ship and submarine building in South Australia will create 8000 jobs, independent modelling shows.

Building submarines, frigates and offshore patrol boats in Adelaide will inject more than $130 billion into the local economy, the Adelaide Advertiser reports.

It cites a report by professional services firm PwC, to be released on Wednesday, which has found 3500 jobs will be in direct shipbuilding and 4550 in related industries.
