Disgraced sports scientist Stephen Dank has been declared bankrupt in the Federal Circuit Court.

Disgraced sports scientist Stephen Dank, who oversaw Essendon's doping supplements program, has been declared bankrupt.

He was declared bankrupt in the Federal Circuit Court in Melbourne on Tuesday, with the court fixing costs owed to ABL Custodian Services, a subsidiary of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, at $12,745.08.

Dank was given a life ban by the AFL anti-doping tribunal in 2015 for his role in the Essendon drug scandal, and he was also tied to the NRL supplements scandal at the Cronulla Sharks.
