Federal Minister Michael Sukkar says no state should lose to any changes to the GST carve-up.

Junior minister Michael Sukkar concedes if one state gets a dollar more under an overhauled GST distribution formula that it comes from another.

The assistant minister to the treasurer was responding to a draft report by the Productivity Commission released on Monday that has made some initial recommendations in changing the way the GST revenue is carved up among the states and territories.
