Domino's delivers $5.4m to underpaid staff

Domino's Pizza says it will use new technologies to improve the quality of its pizzas and service.

Domino's Pizza has introduced new performance measurement software for its franchisees as part of a range of technology updates and initiatives aimed at improving its back-end and customer service operations.

CEO of the tech-heavy pizza chain, Don Meij, has also announced a trial of heated lockers for customers to pick up pizzas at stores and an expansion of its New Zealand drone delivery service.

"Technology and data is of value only if you use it to improve, and that is something we have done from our first use of online ordering, through to using GPS Driver Tracker to reduce our delivery times - this is no different," Mr Meij said in a statement.
