Shooter cop walks free after Vic verdict

Former police officer Timothy Baker has been acquitted of murdering a motorist in Melbourne.

A former Victorian police officer has been acquitted of murdering a motorist who was shot three times during a scuffle in Melbourne.

A Victorian Supreme Court jury on Friday found former leading senior constable Timothy Howard Baker, 46, not guilty of murdering Vlado Micetic during a traffic stop at Windsor in 2013.

The jury retired on Thursday following a trial that lasted more than four weeks before Justice Christopher Beale.
