Palmer defends $8K payments to Mensink

September 15, 2017

The battle between Clive Palmer and government-appointed liquidators continues.

Clive Palmer has returned to the witness box in a court battle with liquidators seeking to freeze his assets and faced further scrutiny about the contents of his "little green notebook".

The former politician on Friday appeared in the Brisbane Supreme Court, where he is fighting a high-stakes legal bid by taxpayer-funded liquidators to freeze more than $200 million worth of personal assets.

Under cross-examination, Mr Palmer faced questioning about the handwritten notebook, including an August 2015 entry referring to a December 2015 budget as being about "nine months old", which he said was simply an error.
