Keenan tells PM, Abbott to bury hatchet

July 17, 2017

Justice Minister Michael Keenan has urged Malcolm Turnbull and Tony Abbott to end their public spat.

The public stoush between Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and his predecessor Tony Abbott is not a good look and must stop, Justice Minister Michael Keenan says.

New Federal Liberal Party president Nick Greiner has told both men to "be adults" and resolve their differences face-to-face for the good of the party.

"The new president ... was just making the obvious point, that if we're talking about ourselves, if we're talking about our disagreements, then we're not talking to the Australian people," Mr Keenan said.
