Melbourne train pain blamed on tech glitch

July 13, 2017

Some trains in Melbourne are moving again after being halted by a computer fault.

All of Melbourne's train lines have been plunged into chaos at the start of peak hour thanks to a computer fault that has stranded trains between stations.

Metro Trains told passengers to seek alternative ways home on Thursday afternoon, with passengers on stranded trains warned not to force the doors open.

"We are currently experiencing delays to all lines due to an computer fault affecting the suburban area. Pls seek alternative transport," Metro Trains said on Twitter.
