Husband denied bail over wife's murder

A 68-year-old man has been refused bail on a charge of murdering his wheelchair-bound wife who drowned in a pond in the Adelaide parklands.

Helen Dansie, 67, died after her wheelchair rolled into the pond in Veale Gardens in April.

Her husband Peter Dansie appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday where prosecutors said police had discounted many of the details Dansie had given emergency services and investigating officers at the time of the incident.
