Cyber attack shuts down Aussie businesses

At least a dozen Australian businesses have been crippled by the malicious ransomware computer bug.

An international computer bug has now spread to at least a dozen Australian businesses.

Cyber Security Minister Dan Tehan on Tuesday morning confirmed there had been 12 reported local cases of the ransomware, which has infected more than 200,000 computers across 150 countries since Friday.

Some researchers believe the malicious 'WannaCry' software has links to North Korea.
